Due to the ongoing spread of Coronavirus variants from the Covid-19 pandemic, we are currently only offering private videoconference accent lessons. Outcomes are the same as in person meetings and many are finding the benefit of learning to use clear English in work related videoconference meetings. Meet your Accent Coach
Our lead accent coach, Jon Berton, M.A.-SLP, attended the University of Southern California and graduated cum laude with degrees in linguistics and psychology, before receiving a Masters of Communication with emphasis on bilingualism and three accent reduction method training certificates. Jon also participated in literacy outreach for Spanish speaking children in Los Angeles and taught hundreds of Spanish speakers pronunciation at a variety of vocational schools and community centers across the country. Jon is also a speech language pathologist with over 25 years of experience.
Jon also helped pioneer one of the first university accent reduction classes in the United States, while serving as a faculty member at California State University, Northridge. Jon and his wife lived in Jacksonville, Florida for several years, offering accent reduction and Southern dialect modification classes. Jon also taught English in Japan and Los Angeles at Asian Rehabilitation Services, and he is one of the most sought after accent trainers and speech consultants in the United States.
